Loom Band & Stick Dominoes

Remember the craze that was loom bands last summer? Well we still have thousands left over and I have been trying to think of some fun and creative ways to use them up. This was a really fun way to use the pile of sticks that grows bigger every time we come back from a walk in the woods!

What you need:
Sticks
Loom bands

This is a super simple make and super simple to play! Go out for a nature walk and grab some sticks, not too big, not to small but a nice variety! When you get home, grab a few loom bands (in a variety of colours) and ties them around each end of the sticks you collected.

Then it's time to play, take it in turns to match the colours, dominoes style.

The monsters have had so much fun playing with these. Both outdoors and indoors. Unfortunately, thanks to the great British weather on the day we went to film this video Hurrican Kate decided to pay a visit and our sticks were blowing all over the place! So we came back inside to play instead!

Stick DominoesA great way to use up sticks and loom bands, 2 things we have an abundance off! We made these great colour match dominoes, the monsters love them and they have kept the monsters quiet for many an hour this half term!

  1. What a good idea.we managed to escape the loom band craze - a few did manage to sneak in the house but they were soon 'lost' in the bin. #toddlerapprovedtuesday

  9. I so nearly chucked our loom bands away the other day as my craft cupboard is overflowing. Can't wait to try this with the Tots.
