The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen Book Review

Winter is almost upon us and one of the monsters favourite things to do is spend an afternoon snuggled up on the sofa underneath a fluffy blanket and read books. The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Anderson are perfect for such an afternoon!

Paragon books don't disappoint with The fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen it has a traditional style to it and reminding me of books from my childhood. The cover is a lovely deep purple and has a beautiful silver foliage, in which you will see something different every time! See if you can spot the Alice In Wonderland type character...and the crown...and the mermaid inside the cover.

The book contains a collection of eight fairy tales including The Fir Tree, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and The Snow Queen...perfect stories for winter I'm sure you will agree!

The illustrations throughout the book are bright and engaging for little listeners and readers alike to enjoy and are of a traditional nature in keeping with the cover.

This isn't the kind of book I will leave out for the monsters to grab themselves, it certainly has a special feel to it and would make a perfect Christmas present for someone special.
