Premier Inn NEW London Aldgate Review

As you may know this weekend I was able to attend top blogging conference, Brit Mums Live, thanks to my wonderful sponsors KidRated and also to Premier Inn for kindly offering myself and Beth one of their rooms at the brand new Premier Inn London Aldgate, in fact it's so brand new....even some taxi drivers didn't know where to find it!

Situated a couple of minutes walk away from Aldgate East Station (serving the District line and the Hammersmith and City line) I personally think makes Premier Inn London Aldgate a great choice for family's and tourists seeking a budget busting hotel with easy access to the city and most attractions.

As hotels go, if you have stayed with Premier Inn before you pretty much know what to expect, the rooms and hotels are all pretty similar across their hotels. I believe it's the staff that make a chain hotel great, and all staff we came across were incredibly friendly, kind and efficient. With a smile and hello from them all.

We stayed in a spacious family room with a nice big double bed and a generous sized single bed. The beds were super comfy, but I did wish that the extra thick duvet had been a bit thinner. Perfect for winter but in the height of summer it made for an uncomfortable nights sleep (before we figured that their was air con in the room!!!!)

All rooms have a 40 inch wall mounted TV complete with FreeView so when the day is done, or indeed just getting started you should happily find something to watch whilst you relax and lay in bed with a nice cup of tea or coffee from the selection of Twinings and Kenco sachets.

Once you are ready to rise and shine the Premier Inn bathrooms are the perfect place to get ready. With a nice sized bath or shower to choose from, along with complimentary wall mounted bath/shower gel and soft white towels to wrap yourselves up in. With an extra large mirror and large sink to compliment the rest of the room.

The rooms also have clothes hanging space, although 5 hangers for a family room just doesn't cut it for me, but this seems the norm across many a hotel (which is just weird I think!) so I can't really moan about this or say I expected better as well  everyone just kind of expects a couple to be fair!)

Premier Inn Breakfast...

For just under £10 you can have the buffet breakfast option. That is an all you can eat get and as many times as you like buffet by the way not a 1 visit teeney plate kinda place!  Fill your boots with tea, coffee, juice, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, muffins, toast, crumpets, croaisants, bacon, egg, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hash browns...have I forgotten anything? If I have they still probably do it...seriously a huge choice for breakfast oh and kids at free!!!

In all I would say it's the perfect place to stay if you just literally want a no frills hotel with a bed for the night and a breakfast for kings!

A nights stay at Premier Inn Aldgate costs from £169.

Disclaimer: We received our stay, including breakfast, free in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  1. Oohh a shiny new hotel! :) I think Premier Inn is my favourite of all the budget hotels as the beds are always really comfortable. The staff are always lovely too, no matter which one we stay in. :)
