5 Ways To Make Your House Smell Good

There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning to a house full of bad smells, last nights cooking, a pan you left to wash the next morning, toilet smells (because who knows why kids and husbands cant flush the toilet at night?!) so how can you get your house smelling nice quickly and easily? Here are 5 ways you can make your house smell clean and fresh...

1. Use laundry scent booster on your carpet and in your hoover.

Use scent boosters made for laundry on your carpets, scatter them over your carpet and hoover them up, the scent will blow out every time you use your hoover for instant freshness!

2. Scented Candles.

Scented candles are my absolute favourite way to boost some freshness into the air, I've never really been a candle fan until my sister started using them and now? Oh My Gosh! Seriously I'm obsessed! My current favourites are Vanilla Cupcake and Clean Cotton Yankee Candles, I also love the Home Bargains copies of Yankee Candles and the Aldi version of Jo Malone.

3. Fresh Flowers.

Seriously, Is there anything better than fresh flowers? They look good, smell good and help lift your mood too!

4. Fake a stove simmer.

There are so many recipes for this.  My favourite is to recreate the smell of apple pie by adding halved apples to water with cinnamon, anise, cloves, and a little orange peel in the slow cooker. Great for using up apples that are past their best too! Keep an eye on the water levels to make sure it doesn't boil dry.

5. Open Windows.

One of the easiest ways to make your house smell nice is to simply open the windows and doors and let some fresh air in. Every morning I open the windows and the back door and let some fresh air waft through the house.
