Thrifty But Stylish Fashion Finds For Kids | What My Kid Wore Wednesday

I love a good old snoop at kids fashion hashtags on Instagram and I have wanted to join in with This Mama Life's kids style linky for ages, but I was held back by the fact that my kids don't actually wear much stuff that is new, so will people actually want to even see it?

Then one day whilst sat at my laptop, on my brand spanking new desk, with a new found love for all things blogging, I just sat and thought just because I shop second hand, and just because my kids wear thrifty finds and hand me downs, doesn't mean they don't have style. In fact,I thought, I should embrace this and share our charity shop finds and hand me downs and show that thrifty shopping doesn't need to mean moth hole ridden throwbacks from 10 years ago! So every Wednesday I will share with you some of our current faves.

Will you be able to click through and buy them if you love them? Nope! BUT hopefully it will inspire you to take a peak next time you walk past the local charity shop...

Charity Shop Fashion Finds For Kids

It was birthday week here in the 3 Princesses and 1 Dude house, as Jenson turned 6 we all (meaning the monsters!) got our favourite outfits on for some bouncy castle fun in the garden.

The birthday boy, ever the shy type opted for a t-shirt, jeans and his favourite H&M jacket, along with shoes that we picked up in the New Year sales from the Nutmeg range at Morrisons for a spiffin £5! It may not be the outfit I would have chosen for him, but he was happy and comfy and thats all that really matters isn't it!

What with it being a birthday weekend I manged to get Elsie into a dress, this cute little star print jumper material dungaree dress and top cost just 99p from Oxfam. I mean, what a bargain right! And the shoes? They were won on a Facebook selling page for just £1.50!

Dress (originally M&S), handed down from a friend | Jelly shoes Debenhams end of summer sale

Now Ellie and Evie are never ones to shy away when it comes to a party and they love getting dressed up in the finest from there wardrobe! Evie has been desperate to wear this dress since a friend handed it down last year, and Ellie opted to a playsuit so that she could still jump on the bouncy castle!

So are you inspired to try thrifty shopping of your own, let me know in the comments below if you find a bargain won't you, and let me know which outfit is your fave in the comments below.

  2. I love charity shop finds but my favourite has to be car boots as most clothes are usually 50p and £1 for shoes. My little girl has loads of clarks shoes but instead of costing hundreds they probably cost less than £10 all together 😊 x
