Four of My Favourite Places To Visit

Last week www.chill.ie/ sent me an e-book of must do road trips in Ireland, it got me thinking about my favourite places to visit. Whether it be a day trip or longer. All of the places come from holidays me and my family took when I was a child. They have that charm of childhood memories and as me and Dean have been talking about taking the monsters to places we visited as kids I thought I would put a mini list together and make it a bucket list of places we want to visit in the next couple of years.

Since we got our tent and camping goods last year, it does mean that w can just pack up and go whenever we want, no booking hotels, no saving up for the cost of 2 hotel rooms (not many hotels have space for a family of 6), so where are the places I have chosen? Let jump straight in with...

1. Scarborough

Scarborough has everything you could want from a seaside! A harbour, 2 beaches, a spa, a castle, a minature railway, Sealife centre, open air theatre. Ice cream shops galore and fish and chip restaurants that will blow your mind!

2. Hastings

One of my most favourite places in the UK. From the history seeped Old Town to the busy town centre, take the lifts up to the cliff tops for the most stunning views! Oh and a visit to the caves is a MUST!

3. York

York...my spirit home! From my first visit when I was 12 (I think!) I fell in love with place. Walk the walls to take in all of the city. Wander the shambles, climb Cliffords Tower, take a river trip, relax in the park...you definitly need more than a day here!

 4. Brighton

Where to start? I mean what doesn't Brighton have!! Brighton is one of the most lively places I have ever visited! The relaxed fun vibe runs through the whole town,  The pier has big arcades, rides and plenty of attractions for the whole family, If you enjoy shopping the shopping centre in Brighton's high street is packed with major stores. A trip to the Lanes and North Lane are also a must! In the lanes you can find extravagant jewellery shops, and in the North Lanes you can discover unique, one of a kind items in many of the independent shops.

This is a collaborative post.
