5 Gadgets To Make Live Easier For An Older Loved One

Independence, the one thing I think,  I'm sure you will agree, is one of the things that are most important to us. But also one that we probably take for granted the majority of the time.  Unfortunately though for some as they get older and head into the later years of live some have to fight to remain independent. For those who care for an older loved there are lots of gadgets out there to help their loved ones keep some independence. I've found 5 gadgets that will help older loved ones keep their independence in some of day to days most important situations.

1. Kettle Tipper.

I think you will agree that a good cuppa is a major part of any ones day so my first gadget is this Kettle/Teapot Tipper. It works by keeping the kettle in place with a Velcro strap. All you need to do is use a little leverage to tip out the water.

2. Riser Recliner Chair

OK so not a cheap gadget, but as we spend a lot of time sitting down we can ease the strain of getting up and down with an electronic riser.

3. Plug Tugs.

How many times a day do we unplug devices and gadgets around the home? These Plug Tugs slot over the plug’s points to make a sturdy loop, making unplugging less fiddly and much less hard work!

4. Walk In Shower Bath

There are walk in baths/showers available with powered seats, extra room at the shower end, grab bars and even more. This will definitely make one of the most relaxing parts of the day a whole lot easier!

5. Electric Bed Riser.

Much like the riser recliner chairs, these electric beds making getting in and out of bed much easier.
