Their is no denying that all of a sudden winter has hit the UK, with the recent Artic blast to have hit us I wanted to ensure Evie was wrapped up warm for school, and as her school has the outside set as constant provision I wanted a coat I was sure she could put on herself and fasten independently. I mean it doesn't matter how many times we tell them to ask for help, when outside is calling kids just want to get out don't they!
The Little Dickins and Jones Padded tar Print Coat (RRP £45) is a gorgeously on trend berry colour and the stars are even more on trend in a gold foil effect with hiden popper buttons in a gold effect too. The coat is super soft and although padded it doesn't have a firm feel to it, so she doesn't end up looking to much like the Michelin man in it! We received the coat in age 3-4 and Evie currently wears age 3, the coat fits her but she has plenty of growing room so it is certainly true to its size.
The buttons of the coat are easy enough for Evie to do independently so I have no worries about her being able to fasten it herself at school. Although water resistant, House Of Fraser website says it isn't waterproof, although it stood up pretty well when we got caught out on the school run a few days ago! The hood is also nice and big and went over her hat comfortably keeping her lovely and shaded from the wind as well as the rain.
The coat is available in sizes from 3-4 up to 11-12, and is currently on offer at £36.00 on the House Of Fraser website.
