Gardening Fun...Its Not Just For Summer!

When we think about gardening, spring time and warm summer weather come to mind. But now the weather is turning cooler it doesn't mean fun in the garden has to end!

There are lots of winter vegetables we can start growing, and with the use of a polytunnel you can extend your growing season and have a few more options! Start sowing yummy winter vegetables like sprouting broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower now along with year long herbs like coriander, thyme, sage and parsley.

Autumn is a great time to set up winter bird tables and hibernation homes, plan and start setting up now, or why not create your own bird feeders? There are lots of fun ideas over on Pinterest.

Clear leaves, seriously, for us it may be the most boring task ever. But for kids? Oh, how my kids love to gather leaves!

What autumn activities do you and you little ones enjoy doing? I'd love to hear in the comments below.
