The Fairy Dell, Skegness. All You Need To Know.

If you are visiting Skegness with kids the one place you need to know about is the Fairy Dell outdoor pool. It is quite well hidden and actually a lot of holiday makers I have spoken to, don't know it is there! So where is it? How much does it cost? Is it worth a visit? Read on to find out....

Where can I find it?

Now if you know Skegness and you know how to find the Boating Lake then your on your want the part of the boating lake where there are pedal boats and rowing boats to hire (hint: just by the aquarium and a fake lighhouse!)  follow the path around to the bridge, the Fairy Dell is hidden behind a rock wall, once you get to the bridge follow the sound of children playing!

How much is it?

The fairy dell is completely free.

What do I need to know?

The place is a sun trap all day, it's absolutely wonderful but remember suncream and hats.
There are no toilets, the closest are only a 5-minute walk away.
It's a UNSUPERVISED area, you need to be there with your children!
There isn't a shop/refreshments area, but most days an ice cream van parks up.

When does the Fairy Dell, Skegness open?

The gates are unlocked at around 9am and they get locked around dusk. The opening date for the 2016 season is May Spring Bank Holiday.

Is it worth a visit?

YES! But bear in mind the fairy dell is free and the place gets busy quickly so if you want to be guaranteed somewhere to sit ARRIVE EARLY!!!
