Recipe. 3 Minute Nutella Mug Cake Two Ways

A couple of weeks ago I was browsing Facebook when I came across a 3 minute Nutella mug cake on My Fussy Eater. It immediately got me thinking about the different ways we could enjoy it!  So, naturally last Friday myself and the monsters got busy in the kitchen and came up with 2 ways to enjoy a 3 minute Nutella cake...

What you need (makes 1 large ramekin):

Basic cake: 2tbsp plain flour
1tsp cocoa powder
1/2tsp baking powder
1 egg
2tbsp Nutella (melted)
2tbsp chocolate chips
Butter (to grease)

Oreo Egg Nutella Mug Cake:
Cadburys Dairy Milk Oreo eggs
Oreos

Raspberry & Nutella Mug Cake:
Raspberries
Raspberry Coulis
Icing sugar

Oreo Egg Nutella Mug Cake:

Put the plain flour, cocoa powder and baking powder in a mixing bowl and stir well. Crack in 1 egg and mix again. Add the Nutella and chocolate chips and stir again. Grease your ramekins or mug with butter and pour in your mixture. cook for 40-50 seconds (depending on how powerful your microwave is!) Meanwhile crush 1 Oreo in a bowl and half 1 of your Oreo eggs in half.

Remove the mug from the microwave top with the crushed Oreo and halved Oreo egg and microwave for a further 15-20 seconds. The cake should still be gooey inside. Enjoy straight away or carefully slide out of your ramekin onto a plate and top with a little extra crushed Oreo!

Raspberry & Nutella Mug Cake:

Put the plain flour, cocoa powder and baking powder in a mixing bowl and stir well. Crack in 1 egg and mix again. Add the Nutella and chocolate chips and stir again. Grease your ramekins or mug with butter and pour in your mixture. cook for 60-65 seconds.

Pop your ramekin onto a plate and top with raspberries, drizzle coulis across and add a shake of icing sugar. Alternatively, tip the cake out onto a plate, top with raspberries, and then drizzle with coulis and icing sugar.

Enjoy!
