5 Ideas For...Shared Bedroom Themes.

Jenson and Ellie share a room, and we are starting to think about decorating it for them (when I say starting I mean 6 months ago!) so we have been looking at lots of ideas for brother/sister shared bedrooms, here are our top 5 faves, and the themes in the running!

Back To School and Back To Sleep with Silentnight.

I can't believe that we are almost at the end of the summer holidays! In just a few sleeps we will be settling into bed and waking up the next morning to a brand new school year...

With just one 'summer' weekend left in sight, Monday, Bank Holiday or not,  will see us get back to routine, back to a bedtime routine in particular as we are a lot more relaxed about bedtime's during the holidays. So with the help of Silentnight and Dr Nerina Ramlakhan here are some top tips for getting back to sleep now we are (almost) back to school....

#ToddlerApprovedTuesday #44

Can you believe the end of summer is in sight...in just 2 Tuesdays Ellie will be back at school, 3 Tuesdays and Jenson will be in school full time and 4 Tuesdays Evie will be starting preschool...ohh the sobs...So although I still call them toddlers I should probably stop, I mean 3 and 4 is no longer toddler age is it really! My little Elsie though? Well she is still under 2 so is most definitely STILL a toddler, so I can at least say I have a toddler for at least another year!

Anyway enough of my ramblings you want to know who my showcases from last week are! Well we loved looking at them all together and our faves came from Feeding Finn and The Free Range Family. (Both foodie posts...can you tell I was hungry when I read them all!!)

Feeding Fin shared this amazing looking Lentil Lasagna...

5 Ideas For...First Day Of School Memory Keepers

Soooo...there are just 2 Mondays left until Jenson starts school. And I have been thinking about ways to preserve the memory, here are my top 5 ideas...

Do You Remember #3

To My Beautiful Ellie, You often say I must hate you, you often say ''you never do nice things with me'', you forget that for 7 years it was just you...you didn't have to share memories, it was just you and I. Making memories together, lots of ordinary moments that I hope one day you will look back at with fondness.  I thought I would record some of the moments here in a 'Do You Remember' feature, maybe you can read them when you think the whole world hates you...

Recipe. Kids Made Pizza.

As I shared our last recipe from the monsters cookery class I though I would share this one too! This week we made pizza's we got ridiculously messy but my they were yummy!

Coming soon...

Activity Time. 5 Little Speckled Frogs.

I'm part of an amazing group on Facebook full of early years  professionals with amazing ideas, one of which, I couldn't wait to try out! Jenson is always singing songs from preschool so I knew he would love this 5 Little Speckled Frogs invitation to play...

The Ordinary Moments. Beach Days.

We are so lucky to live at the seaside, and even luckier to know of some super great, quiet beaches out if the way of all the holiday makers!

Our Dream Staycation.

*This post is entry to ThinkMoneys Blogger 'Bank Holiday Staycation Competition'...

If you could go anywhere for you dream Staycation where would it be? I've been thinking long and hard and since I started writing this post it has changed a FEW times!

London?
Cornwall?
Alton Towers Resort?

And then I had a thought. What if my monsters could experience my favourite place as a kid? And that was that my heart was set on it! If I could go anywhere this August Bank Holiday it would without a doubt be Sussex, in particular, the hustle and bustle of trendy Brighton and then the quaintness of the old seaside town Hastings.

We, as a family have such fond memories of these places. Brighton been a place my Dad had always wanted to visit since his days as a scooter riding mod, and then when we visited? I fell in love with the place. The town is electric and just has a real cool vibe about the place. It may be a seaside but it certainly does not live up to the expectations and stereo type seaside town. (Sorry Balckpool, Sorry Skeggy!) You could spend a day on the pier (which has been in its place since 1823!) with its bustling shops, side stalls, an fairground rides.

And then Hastings, it may be good old seaside town but again it just has a different feel to you usual Seaside resorts. The old town with its sweet old buildings. The charming wooden Victorian coaches of the cliff railway pulling up the cliff side to give you the most amazing views.

Why would I visit these places?

Life is nothing if we didn't have memories. And I want my memories to live on. I want my children to sit back in 20/30 years and say ''can you remember that time on holiday...'' like me and my family do now.

Review. Crafty Summer Fun With Baker Ross.

When the email asking me to become a Baker Ross Blogger landed in my inbox I did a little squeal, we love crafts so of course we jumped at the chance! It wasn't long until our box of goodies arrived...

They have been great use on rainy days and for filling those 'I'm bored' moments!

The first things we tested out was these cute wooden gnome chimes we used the craft pens Baker Ross had also send us.

In each pack of wind chimes there are 4 little gnomes, all different designs....

The pens were great! nice thick nibs and bright colours that worked great on the wooden gnomes, and have worked great on some paper plate crafts we have done too. Ellie loved the pens and has wanted to use them at any oppurtunity for crafting!

Another item we were sent were these crafts baskets (£3.96 for 6) and some square mosaic self adhesive jewels! We used ours as gifts for the teachers at the end of the school year (Ellie has 2 teachers and Jenson has 4 so to have had to buy all 6 teacehers a gift would have been expensive, thesse cute baskets meant I was able to buy 1 box of chocolate and share between them all, and they got a little home-made gift as well.

Being A Blogger.

Thanks to Steph at Mental Parentals for the Being A Blogger Tag...

Being A  Blogger...is MY thing, the only thing I have just for me.

Being A Blogger...is my escape from the stresses of the day.

Being A Blogger...has enabled me to make some fab friends.

Being A Blogger...has given our family some fab opportunities, that would maybe never have happened without my blog. Visit Wales? CHECK! Visit London? CHECK!

Being A Blogger...is more than I ever imagined it would be.

Being A Blogger...means whenever I need advice, their is ALWAYS someone.

Being A Blogger...means I have a bit of a social life, thanks to blogcamp, brit mums and other blogger meet ups!!

Being A Blogger...is going to new places because it would make an ace blog/vlog post!

Being A Blogger...means ALWAYS running out of storage on my phone and iPad!

Being A Blogger...has ignited my passion for photography. Something I have always enjoyed, but never been great at. But I am teaching myself to take good photo's with great blogs to take inspiration from. And the 'big camera' is the only thing on my Christmas list and a photography course is on my plans for 2016!

So that is me done. I probably could have gone on for hours..but I will stop at 10!

#WickedWednesdays There's A WHAT In The Washing Machine?

I check pockets every time I put the washer on, rarely anything in them. yet the ONE TIME I DON'T CHECK...the kids come running through in a sheer panic to tell me ''There's a piecoal in the washer''

I follow them because, I'll be honest with you,  I have no clue what a piecoal is!

Which is when I find  this....

Its turns out a piecoal is actually a PINE CONE...of course...a pine cone in my washer...sigh!

5 Ideas For...Exciting Drinks For Kids!

Sometimes as Mum's we can be a bit boring in our kids eyes...I mean we are just been good Mum's but many a time my monsters have asked me for some of 'that' drink and I have said no...and handed them a glass of water...or maybe some milk...and a fruit shoot when I feel like treating them!

I have been busy looking around Pinterest for some fun drinks for them, here are 5 of my fave ideas that I think they will love...

Recipe. Chunky Veggie Lasagna.

We have started attending a kids baking class, aimed at the under 5's it is perfect for my independent monsters to gain kitchen skills. This week we, I mean THEY, made veggie lasagna and Jenson's was made completely indpendently, Evie had minimum help and Elsie and me worked together!
