Vegetable, Butter Bean and Sausage Crumble | Cooking With Kids

Anther recipe from our cooking group, that the monster made independently and we all enjoyed for tea that night, great for using up the stragglers from the bottom of the frozen veg packets!

What you need: (Makes 1 crumble, to serve 2 children with extra)

4 tablespoons Frozen Veg of your choice (we used mixed veg)
1 or 2 tablespoons Butter beans
Chopped Tomatoes (enough to coat your veg and butter beans) 
1 stick of Butter (approx 110g)
75g Flour 
Grated Cheese 

To serve:
Sausages (we used hot dog sausages, because it was what we had in the cupboard/fridge/freezer!)

Spoon your frozen veg into your baking tray (again we used the individual disposable foil trays like takeaway style!), spoon in the butter beans.
Cover with chopped tomatoes, add a sprinkle of herbs and stir to make sure you get a good covering. 

In a mixing bowl rub the butter and flour together to make your crumble, add the cheese and sprinkle over your veg may not need it all.

Cook in a hot oven for 20-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve with sausages or keep as a vegetarian option, good either way!
