I've been promising the monsters we would make these for the last few weeks, we finally got round to baking on Wednesday morning, it was Jenson's morning at home before full days at school started and so we did a few of his favourite things! These cookies were so easy to make and tasted amazing, you NEED to make these...believe me you will thank me later!
What You Need (makes approx 12 bite size cookies)
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup sugar
125g butter (pref room temp)
This recipe is so so simple and in justa few simple steps you will have some scrummy cookies, fresh from the oven! All you need to do is cream the butter and sugar in a bowl, add the flour and cocoa powder a bit at a time to form a dough.
Once you have a dough chill in the fridge for approx 30 minutes, maybe a little longer if you can, our dough was extremly soft even after 45 minutes so if you can leave it longer then do!
Once you have paitently waited, and preferably your children haven't snuck into the kitchen AND into the fridge and eaten half you dough (true story) separate your dough into walnut sized balls and pop them on a baking tray, spaced out well, flatten them slightly and pop some M&M's into the top of them.
Cook in a preheated oven Gas 4 for 10-20 minutes, when you take them out they will still be quite soft and very delicate so carefully transfer them to a wire rack to cool.
Once they are cool pop in a biscuit barrel to keep fresh...Don't have a biscuit barrel? Give them straight to the children they will devour them and declare you best Mum ever!
