DIY Toilet Roll a Tube Farmyard Animals

Our farmyard is one of the monsters fave toys so as I browsed Pinterest one day when I came across the Cardboard Tube Farm Animals over at Craft's by Amanda I knew that one day I would make them...that one day came a few weeks ago...

Now I under no illusion that ours are the best DIY ever BUT the kids were happy and played hours!

And so using the photo over at Crafts By Amanda I grabbed the loo rolls and scissors, some paint, pens and pipe cleaners and got busy...remember I am not the most creativly capable Mum in the world BUT I think I made it work. To be honest I wanted to add a bit more detail but the kids woke up the next day and wanted, sorry needed, to play with them!

Neigh....

Cluck, Cluck...

And isn't a child's face the best way to judge if something was a success? And look at their faces? As happy as a pig in muck!

Oh And even one of the ladies from a nursery I used to work at got in touch and asked me to make some for the toddler's!

  3. Ah I love this! We have a stash of toilet rolls somewhere so I'm going to dig them out. It reminds me of when I was a student, and my housemates for some reason decided to make a nativity scene out of them. So random but it looked pretty good! Becky x #ToddlerApprovedTuesday t

  5. This is brilliant!!! We have toilet rolls in our craft box. There are so many things you can do with them, but this is the best i've seen so far. Especially for teaching animals to little ones! What great fun. I love the genius things you post every week. x #toddlerapprovedtuesday
