And so onto my link this week, I especially love this because not only was it toddler approved, it got the approval of the big monster (Ellie, 9) and the smallest monster (Elsie, 1).

Its so simple all you need is paper, felt pens, medium/large toy cars/trucks etc and masking tape.

Tape your pens to the backs of the cars, and your ready to go! Drive the cars along the paper and voila....toddler approved art!

Blog Stars Little Stars with LarabeeUK

Welcome back to Blog Stars Little Stars, the guest post series where some of my favourite bloggers interview their little stars and we find out what the kids really think! This week Leandra from LaraBeeUK handed over to Thomas, 2. You can follow Leandra on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

LarabeeUK is a blog about what I love, food, my family, crafting and organising, sometimes you'll find a few other little gems thrown in for good measure.  'Team Bramham' (cheesy I know!) live for evenings and weekends, and try and cram in as much as we can! I am a step-mum of 2 teenagers (g16 & b13) and Mum to Thomas who'll be 3 on Boxing Day and super wife to The Hubs, Karl.

Oh No!! Kids Say The Funniest Things!

I don't condone children swearing, OK, BUT I do swear. Accidentally, of course!

So this morning after putting Elsie down for her morning nap, I came downstairs to tidy up and of course the little shits monsters wouldn't help! So 15 minutes later the room was tidy...I go to the loo...

And came back to them throwing toys in the air, basically emptying every box I just filled...

So as you imagine I stood their gawping at them and said...

''You gotta be taking the piss!''

...to no one in particular. Jenson continued to empty boxes in some crazed manner.

Evie stopped. Looked at me. And in her sweetest most caring voice...

''No Mummy...We arent taking the piss.''

...deadly serious.

I dont know if it was funny or not. Well what I mean is, it wasn't funny that she swore...BUT it was funny how she said it so sweetly, so caring!

#ToddlerApprovedTuesday Week 3.

I cant believe how fast the last week has gone! So many great posts linked up with Leandra last week, so thanks to all who linked up! May I also take this opportunity to apologise for how long it took me to read everyones link up's! Must try harder this week!

There were so many great entrys I'm finding it hard to choose 2 for this weeks showcase, but I'm going Halloween themed (we all know I love a Halloween post!) with these Halloween Outfits over at Lamb and Bear ....

In just 2 weeks we will be donning our fancy dress and Trick or Treating! Yeyyyy for all those treats! Now I like to go that little bit better than all the other houses and give something a little bit different...we have had goody bags in the past, as well as a trick or treat lucky dip box (that was a real hit!).

So I have been hauling through Pinterest (follow our Halloween Board HERE!! every night to find some new ideas for this year and here are our favourite 5:

Click the links below to find instructions/tutorials/original posts and more pics!

1. Halloween Mini Pinatas!

2. Decorated Clothes Pegs.

These Clothespins from Fancy Flours have given me some inspiration!

3. Balloon Pumpkin Patch.

These DIY Balloon Pumpkin's from Confetti Sunshine are filled with goodies!

4. A FREE printable to top your goody bags!

These free Halloween Treat Bag Toppers from Her Comes The Sun Blog are a perfect 'oops I left it to the last minute' idea!

5. Edible Pumpkin Cups.

Now all I need to do is find some Orange chocolates...then I'd be well under way to make these Edible Pumpkin Candy Cups from Oh Nuts!

Oh and I almost forgot about these amazingly cute juice cartons that I saw on Instagram...Go follow lunarbell_lunch for some amazing childrens food ideas! (I realise this makes 6 ideas, but shhhh if you don't mention it neither will I!!)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Arrrgghhh!! Stop Saying That!

I dont know about you but I hate 'Mum/Parenting Quotes', I recently asked my Facebook likers and Instagram followers for their input so here they are (in no particular order!) the top 'Oh shut up' quotes/sayings...

1.

Your body is not ruined, your a tiger who earned her stripes.

Nope...I'm a Mum, I had a baby! I don't have to feel great about my body actually and this really makes me feel guilty for hating my stretch marks. One reader said ''Erm...can I not be allowed to feel how I want about my body without people telling me what I should be proud of?!''

2.

Breast Is Best!

This seemed to be a BIG bug bear to many readers. ''as a mama that tried very hard to feed and couldn't it sure does make you feel like sh*t'', ''I hate breast is best, I was as dry as a bone after having ****, didn't produce an ounce of milk so it gets to me'' I think we can all agree this advertising tool as much as it is may be truthful for those who can, we must remember that not everyone can its hurtful to the Mumma's who have tried and been unable to. There are enough pressures in motherhood without adding to it!

3.

Its the most natural thing in the world...

''What everything? from breastfeeding to baby wearing make up your mind baby quoters WHICH ONE is the most natural!''

4.

Don't worry Dad, Mum will do it.

''Any quote or advertising slogan that says mums are the only ones good at parenting, we all struggle through as best we can surely?'' Thanks to the 1 lovely Daddy who commented! Yep we sure do!

5.

share this if you love your son/daughter

''Almost as though you need to do this...because if you don't you clearly hate your kids!''  Who makes these things up anyway? They belong in the bin with all other 'share this and...' Facebook quotes I say!

6.

Yummy Mummy!

Oh dear this sure upsets some of you Mummys! ''I dont have a tiny figure or designer clothes, dont have makeup on my face'' said one reader. ''I do the school run without having brushed my hair!!! am I any less beautiful to my children?'' Nope it sure as heck doesnt, and the hubs he will always think you look fab!

7.

'Facebook' Works at:  full time mummy

''Its not a job its a privilege!'' ,''dont moan about it some working Mums would love to stay at home!'' OOOhhhh this one was one that I got a LOT of emails and messages about!

Are there any I have missed out? What sayings do you hate?

So onto my link up for this week, we had these planned already I'm not copying Leandra's post from last week I promise!

Anyway these are so yum! The whole family will love them, my lot devoured them in 1 sitting.

Memo for next time: Must make more!

What you need: (makes 12)

200g Puff Pastry (I used half a shop bough refrigerated block)
12 Slices Pepperoni
60g Grated Cheese
Tomato Puree

Roll out the puff pastry and cut out into circles BIGGER than your pepperoni pieces!

Spread the pastry pieces with puree and pop a piece o pepperoni in the centre and sprinkle on some cheese.

Pinch the circle together as though forming a 'sack'.

Put on a baking tray.

Spray with frylight or brush with melted butter.

Pop in preheated oven (Gas 6) for around 10-20 minutes (depending on the size of the bomb's) until the pastry is golden and puffed.

Enjoy!

Tasty Tuesdays on HonestMum.com

BakedPotato Mummy

An Evening Out!

So as I start typing this me and Ellie are on the train travelling 27 or so miles to go see the newest one direction film.

What we wore.

Ellie has worn her bargain £1 skirt it looks so cute on her! Teamed with her 1D tshirt, black tights, red denim jacket and hightops. She looks totally on-trend and like she "didn't make an effort" She's also got a slick of mascara on (ermmmm when did she learn to apply mascara!!) and her hair pulled back in a pony. Ohh and she has bought along a cute owl bag (for her phone...that's it!)

I'm wearing black leggings and my new floral top my trusty Ugg boots and my new fave cardi!  My hair is a mess and I don't have any makeup on!!!

The Mood!

As you can imagine Ellie is totes over the moon that she gets to see the film before the DVD, she hasn't stopped smiling and telling any one who looks at her where we are going (seriously you would think that we were going to meet them. In like real life person!)

Me I am happy to get out the house after a sh**ty week.

What We Ate.

Hotdogs (not slimming world)
Strawberry Shortcakes (not slimming world)
Cinema Crax (not slimming world)
Nachos (not slimming world)
Diet Coke (SLIMMING WORLD FRIENDLY!)

The Film.

Wow! I am now a One Direction convert! When they tour I will be there (with Tanya in our 1D tee's!) screaming and dancing along!

It wasn't what I was expecting, I was expecting a follow us on our tour type film, but what we got was their full live show at San Siro stadium in Milan. And wow they put on a show!

I was a little disapointed by the atmosphere in the cinema, you read all these storys about nuts 1D fans and well to be honest there was no atmosphere at all! Until the last 15min or so when a group at the back of the cinema started clapping and singing along, which Ellie (and I) joined in with much to the disgust of the boring a**holes in front of us! #BORES!

The most disappointing thing of all? The film was due to finish at 9.00 BUT started 10 minutes late which meant as we were already pushing it for time to catch our train home (9.17) we had to miss the final song (Best Song Ever) and as I sat telling Ellie 1 more minute for 5 minutes we had to run all the way back to the station (10 minutes away!) to find...the train was delayed and so we could have stayed and walked but hey we weren't to know!

Final Thoughts.

So it was an expensive cinema trip as we had to travel so far and then for some reason the cinema had doubled their usual prices:

Add on top of this the cinema prices of food. It was by far cheap. But we had fun Ellie was smiling and as we watched the film she squeezed my arm in a thank you for been the best Mum ever kinda way! That along with the excitement in her eyes and her gorgeous happy smile...that, well that is priceless!

#DebsAWStyle Blogger Style Challenge.

When I got an email regarding Debenhams newest blogger challenge I couldn't wait to pop over and take a look at their website! After losing 1 and a half stone since April I'm desperately in the need for new clothes!

Been a busy mum with school runs to do and toddlers and babies to run around after I just wanted to glam up my usual 'Mum Uniform' consisting of black leggings, a long length black vest, a cardi and ugg boots. (So Glamorous!)

The Modern Military Trend is my fave for this season, lots of my usual colours but a much more glam feeling about them! So I have upgraded my usual leggings for these Red Herring Black Wax Textured 'Holly' Super Skinny Jeans:

Then for a more 'I have made an effort...I promise' look I have chosen this Betty Jackson  Designer grey pleat back shirt ...I LOVE  an oversized shirt they hide a multitude of '3 kids in 3 years' body worries and as its already over sized it doesnt matter that I am still losing weight! Ohhh And I adore the pleating on the back!

Upgrade my 5 year old boyfriend style cardigan to a lush Red Herring Black Textured Biker Jacket (which actually I've wanted for ages!!!)

Trade in my trusty (but wrecked) slobby boots for these H! by Henry Holland Black High Leg Buckle Boots

For this style challenge I also have to design an outfit for a fellow blogger and challenge them to take on the Debenhams Autumn/Winter '14 Style Challenge too!

I nominate Tanya at Polka Dots and Cups Of Tea and here's the outfit I chose for her, Tanya like me is a super busy mum of 4 and weekends are full of football, rugby and gymnastics! So something stylish and comfy would be perfect! I've mixed and matched a bit here using pieces from both the Pastel Palette and the Pink and Berry trends, I think they go perfect together!

Perfect for your Autumn mornings pitch side don't you think Tanya?

So will you take the Debenhams A/W Style Challenge too? Full details can be found HERE!
