Eggy Bread With Cinnamon and Golden Syrup | Cooking With Kids

A yummy weekend breakfast treat or you could even half the recipe and have as a snack...

What you need (serves a family of 4/5):

1 baguette (sliced, approx 1.5inch slices),
6 eggs
6tbsp of milk
1/2 tbsp cinnamon powder
oil

This was so simple to make, Evie, who isn't quite 2, could make it with a little help. (I split the mixture between the 3 children and they all made some mixture for themselves)

Crack the eggs into your bowl and mix in the milk and the cinnamon. Now dip your bread slices into your mix and allow it to soak the mixture up and become 'spongy' let any excess drip from and place on a plate ready for cooking.

Now the grown up part! Heat some oil in your pan and when ready, place your bread slices in the pan and cook on both sides until golden brown. It should only take a couple of minutes.

Plate up and drizzle with golden syrup.

Enjoy!
